Age Eligibility
Your age determines which game experiences are available to your account.
Who can do what
- Under 13: cannot create an account.
- 13 to 17: the Classic / Kingdom game. Neo-Tokyo, market-themed gameplay and the read-only portfolio connection are not available.
- 18 and over: Classic and Neo-Tokyo, and the optional read-only portfolio connection when it is offered.
A birthday counts on the day itself: you can register on your 13th birthday, and Neo-Tokyo opens on your 18th birthday.
How it works
- You enter your date of birth when you register. We store only the date and use it only for these decisions; it is not shown to other players.
- The rules are enforced by our servers, not only by the app.
- Accounts created before this rule are asked for their date of birth the first time they choose Neo-Tokyo; the Classic game stays available meanwhile.
- The date cannot be changed in the app. If it is wrong, contact support.
Parents and guardians
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 13 has an account, or a minor entered a wrong date of birth, contact us at the support address on the Terms page and we will correct or delete the account. Purchases in the apps can be controlled with the parental controls of Google Play (Family Link) and Apple (Screen Time, Ask to Buy).
